Kent Donguines' personal film, starring Edward Escobal and Jason Asuncion, reflects on some parallel experiences drawn from director's own life.

The short film, produced by Vancouver outfit BOLDLY, is all spoken in Tagalog, and depicts the obstacles a young engineer faces when arriving in Canada to work and support his family back in Manila.

Donguines' comments that the film, his first directing project in scripted works, draws on moments from his first arrival in Canada, working as a janitor in a shopping mall in Ottawa, Ontario. In part of that work, he says he felt shame and fear of his family discovering the true nature of his job.
