Pitching is one THE HARDEST parts of getting your projects off the ground. We're creating a safe space to learn some tips and tricks and practice.
We’re changing things up for this edition of Pitching 101.
**Anyone participating in the Pitch-A-Thon MUST attend the Pitching 101 Workshop.**
Workshop 1 - Pitching 101
We’re changing things up for this edition of Pitching 101.
Rather than focusing on a single approach to pitching, we’re bringing together three industry experts from the worlds of documentary, television and film to explore how pitching changes depending on what you’re making—and who you’re pitching it to.
Each expert will break down what makes a strong pitch in their corner of the industry, from what to include (and what to leave out) to how to clearly communicate your project, your vision and why you’re the person to make it.
Then, we’ll move from theory to practice. Participants from the Filmable Fellowship will pitch their projects live, followed by feedback and insights from our panel.
Whether you’re preparing to pitch your first project or looking to sharpen your skills, Pitching 101 is a chance to learn not just how to pitch, but how to adapt your pitch to the room you’re in.

Workshop 2 - Pitch-A-Thon
It’s back! In this workshop, selected participants will apply their knowledge from the first workshop into a real world scenario by pitching their projects to local indie producers and receive constructive feedback on both their visual and verbal pitches.
This is all for practice! Producers aren't receiving in an official capacity
Please note, this workshop has limited space. Only participants who have applied for Workshop 1 are eligible to apply for Workshop 2.

Applications for both workshops are due by Friday Oct 16th @ 11:59PM
Participants will be notified for both workshops by Monday Oct 26th.
*We will ask each participant to pay a non-refundable commitment fee of $30 per workshop which will go towards refreshments, snacks and helping Filmable continue offering accessible opportunities to our community.*
