From September 27th - Sept 30th The Filmable team is proud to host the first official portrait studio in partnership with the Vancouver International Film Festival.

Led by acclaimed Vancouver Photographer Brian Van Wyk and Creative Director Adriana Marchand.

It’s time to show the world that Vancouver is a thriving hub for some of the most talented filmmakers and creatives of our time. This vibrant city is home to a diverse community of artists who are redefining storytelling and pushing the boundaries of cinematic excellence. We’re chill, humble, and hard working. We don’t need red carpets or fancy clothes, because we already have an inexplicable energy and authenticity that the world deserves to see.

Meet the Photographer

Curious at heart, Brian has spent over a decade exploring the common cultural codes found within film, music, and fashion. With a focus on creating images of the people who intersect with these worlds, his creative process seamlessly blends documentary, portrait, and editorial aesthetics to craft narrative-driven visuals with a sensitivity to emotional impact. By bridging different artistic practices, he hopes to create work that is as authentic as it is memorable.

Brian was born and raised in South Africa, immigrating to Canada as a teen. He now splits his time between UK and Canada.
